Fox News newsletter says Gaza boy reported killed by Israeli forces is alive; also raises other Gaza-related claims

Fox News’ ‘Antisemitism Exposed’ newsletter published an interview with a boy widely reported killed in May and flagged additional items including a flotilla aid claim and a concert incident

Fox News’ “Antisemitism Exposed” newsletter published an exclusive video and interview asserting that a young Gazan boy widely reported killed by the Israeli Defense Forces in May is alive and sheltering with his mother.

The newsletter, which focuses on what it describes as rising anti-Jewish prejudice in the United States and abroad, said the boy — identified in the item by the pseudonym “Amir” — traveled to a Gaza Humanitarian Foundation distribution site and was later located alive. Fox News Digital said it supplied questions for an interview conducted through a Gaza Humanitarian Foundation translator and published video and a translated account from the boy and his mother.

The newsletter framed the interview as a refutation of reports that had circulated in May about the child’s death. It did not identify the original outlets or sources for those earlier reports in the newsletter item, and Fox News noted the material came to it via the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.

In addition to the interview, the newsletter carried other Gaza-related items. It reported that humanitarian cargo transported by Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg’s second aid flotilla would not be unloaded on Gaza’s beaches, citing organizers’ plans and logistical constraints. The newsletter also included an item describing an interaction involving an Israeli fan, identified as Abdul Rahim Muhammad Hamden, and a Coldplay frontman, saying the fan was seen smiling at an event the newsletter referred to as GHF’s SDS 3 on Aug. 25, 2025, in the Gaza Strip.

Separately, Fox News segments have continued to cover developments in the Israel-Hamas conflict, including discussions of Israeli military plans. Fox News national correspondent Jeff Paul discussed Israel’s planned operation in Gaza City on an episode of Fox News Live cited by the newsletter.

The newsletter is part of the network’s broader effort to document and analyze what it calls an uptick in antisemitic incidents and narratives tied to coverage of the war between Israel and Hamas. Media outlets and humanitarian groups have at times published conflicting accounts from the Gaza Strip amid limited independent access and the fog of war, prompting corrections or disputes over specific reports since the outbreak of hostilities.

Fox News’ newsletter did not publish independently verifiable documentation in the item beyond the video interview provided through the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation. The organization’s claims and the earlier reports of the boy’s death have not been corroborated by multiple independent sources in the public record.

News organizations and humanitarian agencies continue to face challenges verifying on-the-ground accounts from Gaza. The fluid information environment has produced competing narratives about civilian casualties, the delivery of aid, and public incidents involving international figures. Reporting from outlets on all sides has at times been amended as new information emerged, and media consumers have been urged to treat single-source claims with caution while awaiting independent confirmation.
