Manchester United sign Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp for initial €21m
Belgian goalkeeper signs five-year deal at Old Trafford after 64 appearances for Antwerp and a first national-team call-up
Manchester United have signed Belgian goalkeeper Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp for an initial €21m (£18.1m), plus add-ons, the club announced on Tuesday. The 23-year-old has agreed a five-year contract at Old Trafford and joins United after making 64 appearances for Antwerp.
Lammens, who has yet to make a senior appearance for Belgium, was named in the national squad for the first time in March. He helped Antwerp win the Belgian Super Cup in 2023 and has been regarded as one of the promising young goalkeepers in the Belgian league.

"I am extremely proud to be joining Manchester United. It is a real dream come true," Lammens said. "The past few years have been an amazing journey, it's now ended in an incredible destination and hopefully the beginning of something special."
United's director of football Jason Wilcox described Lammens as "an excellent young goalkeeper with great potential" and said the club was "delighted that he has chosen to join Manchester United after significant interest from a number of clubs." The transfer fee is structured as an initial payment with further add-ons dependent on performance and other clauses.
Lammens moved through Royal Antwerp's ranks and established himself in the first team, featuring in domestic and European fixtures. His selection to Belgium's senior squad in March marked the first time he had been included at that level, though he did not make a competitive appearance for the national side.
The signing gives Manchester United additional depth in their goalkeeping department as the club prepares for the coming season. The player will report to the club to begin his contract and undergo integration with the squad and coaching staff, with United overseeing his development as part of their long-term plans.
The move completes a transfer that had attracted attention from several clubs across Europe and represents one of Manchester United's early pieces of business in the current transfer window. Financial details beyond the reported initial fee and potential add-ons were not disclosed by the club.
