Liverpool to sign Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace after clubs agree fee
England centre-back to undergo medical in London before finalising long-term contract as Reds close second major deadline-day deal
Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign England centre-back Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace, with the 25-year-old due to complete medical formalities in London on Monday and sign a long-term contract with the Premier League champions.
Crystal Palace accepted a £35 million bid for Guehi after the clubs reached a compromise on the fee. Liverpool had originally tabled an offer of £35 million plus a 10% sell-on clause, sources said, before negotiations produced an agreement between the two clubs.

Guehi becomes Liverpool's second major signing on transfer deadline day, following the club's agreement to sign striker Alexander Isak from Newcastle for an initial fee reported at £125 million. The move for Guehi adds defensive reinforcements to the champions' squad ahead of the new season.
The centre-back captained Palace in Sunday night's 3-0 win at Aston Villa, scoring a spectacular second goal in what was his 162nd and final appearance for the London club. Asked about his future after the match, Guehi did not address transfer speculation, saying only: "All I know is when you score goals like that it is always down to team performance. People will try to single out the goal."
Liverpool will complete the remaining formalities, including medical checks, in London on Monday before announcing the transfer. The club and player are expected to finalise personal terms prior to the move being confirmed.
Guehi's move follows a transfer window in which Liverpool have sought to strengthen multiple areas of the squad. The agreement marks the end of Guehi's significant spell at Palace, where he established himself as a regular starter and club captain across 162 appearances.
Both clubs declined to provide further comment while formalities were completed. The transfer, once fully ratified, will see Guehi linked up with Liverpool's first-team group and available for selection once registration and fitness requirements are met.
