Mother returns early to roller-rink birthday party and finds daughter alone, posts video to TikTok

Lauren says she left her child with the party host’s permission and came back to a locked, dark party room with her daughter the only person inside

A woman identified as Lauren said she dropped her daughter off at a roller-rink birthday party after the host told her it was fine to do a "drop off" and run an errand, but returned early to find the party room locked, the lights off and her child alone.

In a TikTok video posted under the handle @lauren.m.100, the mother described checking the party’s scheduled end time before leaving and being told by the party parent that the event would finish at 5 p.m. She said she returned at about 4:30 p.m. and discovered no other children or adults in the room.

"I literally feel like the worst mom ever," Lauren said in the clip. She recounted asking her daughter where everybody was and being told, "they're gone." Lauren said the party room had been locked and the party mother had vanished when she arrived.

The video documents the mother’s reaction and her sense of guilt after the discovery. "I trusted this other mom," she said in the recording, which shows her confronting the absence and speaking about the emotional aftermath. The clip was public on TikTok and drew attention on the platform.

The incident, as described in the video, unfolded at a roller-skating facility hosting a children’s birthday party. Lauren said she had sought and received permission from the host to leave briefly after dropping off her child and that she had confirmed the advertised end time before departing.

The TikTok recording does not include a statement from the party host or the roller-rink operator. The mother’s account centers on her immediate response when she found her daughter alone and the feelings she expressed publicly after the event.

The video adds to a string of parental accounts posted on social platforms in which caregivers describe unexpected problems at organized children’s events. Those posts often prompt discussion about supervision and the logistics of drop-off parties, though the TikTok clip here focuses on Lauren’s personal experience and reaction.

Lauren’s video remains on the TikTok account referenced in her post. The clip conveys the mother’s immediate account, her questions about why the party ended early without notifying parents, and her expression of remorse for having left her daughter at the venue, even briefly. No independent confirmation of the party’s schedule or the host’s explanation was included in the footage.
